Landscape Architecture

A park is perhaps the greatest opportunity to express "sense of community" - a town's or neighborhood's history, values and aspirations. We work to create a strong sense of place for each park. We listen to the community and then express its identity by shaping the land and developing signature details.

A trail can do more than connect points a and b. It can enhance the experience of travel by foot, bicycle or horse. It can contribute to the experience of the land, or our bodies as we exercise them, and of the animals we ride.

Several things contribute to excellent trail design. First, we understand grade and geometry. Second, we make sure the the project works on the ground, not just on the paper. We walk and stake the alignment, then have the alignment surveyed and apply geometry to it. Then we know it works.
